Comic Chase

Once upon a time, on a small Island in the Pacific Ocean lived a cool kid named Matt. He liked to read comics a lot! One day he was walking in a field near his house with his favorite comic, Smudge and the Big Fire in his hand. It was a funny story about a weird kid who put out a huge inferno. Then, all of a sudden, a big strong gust of wind took the most valuable thing he owned away from him. He ran and he ran but he could not catch up to it. "I’m so tired," he said when out of nowhere a tall tree caught it out of the air.

"Give that back!"

"No!" said the tree. "Hey, what’s that?"

"It’s an axe, a big axe," said Matt, who picked up the heavy axe he had found and chopped off the tree’s thick branches.

He then took the comic from the fallen branch and walked away.

Several hours later Matt saw something big and scary in the bushes. Suddenly, a giant smelly monster jumped towards him! The last thing Matt saw was the monsters razor sharp yellow teeth and the inside of his slimy mouth before he was eaten!

"AHHHHHH!"

If Matt had lived just a minute longer, he would have seen a small furry animal take his most prized possession off of the ground and run away with it, into the bushes, never to be seen again.
